Mid-Level Software Engineer

Location: Galway (Hybrid)
Salary: €50,000 – €60,000 DOE

The Role

An established Galway-based technology company is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You’ll work on modern, scalable software used by customers globally, contributing across the full development lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with product and engineering peers, and building high-quality, maintainable systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining backend services using .NET / C#

• Developing user-facing features using React

• Working with APIs, databases, and cloud-based services

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers

• Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code

• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or similar role

• Strong experience with .NET (C#)

• Solid frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience building RESTful APIs

• Familiarity with SQL databases

• Comfortable working in an agile development environment

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Exposure to microservices or distributed systems

• Interest in data-driven or high-performance applications
